Lord, give me the grace to acknowledge and confess all my sins.
“Blessed is the one whose fault is removed, whose sin is forgiven. Because I kept silent, my bones wasted away; I groaned all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength withered as in dry summer heat. Then I declared my sin to you; my guilt I did not hide. I said, ‘I confess my transgression to the LORD,’ and you took away the guilt of my sin.” Psalm 32: 1, 3-5
Steps to a Good Confession:

- Be sincerely sorry for your sins.
- Make a firm resolution not to sin again and to avoid whatever leads you to sin.
- Tell your sins to the priest. All unconfessed mortal sins, of which you are aware, must be confessed by kind and number as best you can.
- Say an Act of Contrition when asked to
- Receive absolution.
- Do the penance the priest gives you.

My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong, and failing to do good, I have sinned against You, whom I should love above all things. I firmly intend, with Your help, to do penance, to sin no more,
and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. In his name, my God, have mercy. Amen.
Receive absolution.
Priest: Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good
Penitent: His mercy endures forever.
